In lieu of gifts, we ask that you make a donation to Peace of Mind (POM) Canada in memory of Yael’s Baba (grandfather), Haron Ezer. POM facilitates emotional and psychological support for Israeli veterans who have undergone difficult battle situations.

Haron loved Israel and had tremendous respect for its soldiers. One of his fondest memories, he once told us, was travelling to Israel for his grandson Jonah’s Bar Mitzvah. Around that time, Jonah’s family hosted Israeli soldiers in their home for a week, through POM. A couple years later, we followed suit and hosted our own soldiers. Haron welcomed all of our guests with a warm smile and open heart.

 

He had them laughing and sharing stories in no time. Most of all, he made them feel as if they were a part of our family.

We know that Haron would want to continue supporting Israeli soldiers, helping them to heal through POM’s unique program. Your donation is a meaningful way to honour Yael on her Bat Mitzvah through her beloved Baba.
